After last being seen in head-to-toe designer (including a $77,000 Cartier necklace), Kate Middleton’s outfit today seemed to be a bit of an exercise in contrast, donning a $55 Hobbs frock.
Middleton wore the dress to announce her newly-launched charitable initiative, a partnership with Greenhouse which will improve the quality of sports and coaching in schools and communities, along with Prince William and Harry. The trio got to try out a variety of different sports to celebrate the program, including judo, soccer and table tennis (what we wouldn’t give to see that!) The launch of the athletics-based initiative is perfectly timed, with the Olympics’ opening ceremony tomorrow, and has us anticipating her upcoming ensembles.
The Duchess was also spotted greeting the Olympic torch at Buckingham Palace, in a pair of royal blue skinny jeans from Zara and a simple white Team GB polo (a similarly themed colour palette as her Stella McCartney ensemble seen last week).
