While Kanye has been behind some fairly lengthy music videos in the past, the rapper is set to premiere his first short-film, Cruel Summer next week at the Cannes Film Festival. Billed as a ‘seven-screen experience,’ the event is set to be part film, part art installation, and is inspired by a trip the Middle East earlier this year. Kanye wrote, produced, and directed the short, and selected pals Aziz Ansari and Kid Cudi to star. The film also shares a title with his upcoming album.
While we’re excited to hear more about the premise of the film, we can’t help but wonder – could this mean that we’ll see the red-carpet debut of Kimye at Cannes?
