King Street in downtown Toronto’s furniture and design district was abuzz on the night of Thursday, July 31 for IKEA Canada’s showroom unveiling of its 2009 collection and newly released catalogue.

The exclusive event drew a well-heeled crowd for music, mingling and delicious cocktails and bites within IKEA’s state-of-the-art showroom.

The highlight of the evening: a virtual dance-off featuring So You Think You Can Dance contestant, Robert Murraine famous for his “pop and lock” moves.

Canadian dancer Shugamai Johnson danced alongside Murraine through the showroom while arranging and interacting with pieces from IKEA’s new collection.
