On Saturday, June 8, prominent art patrons and fashion followers came together for at the Royal Ontario Museum to celebrate the Canadian premiere of Viktor&Rolf Dolls, held in conjunction with the inaugural fundraiser for the Luminato Festival, The Big Bang Bash. In keeping with the Dutch design duo’s dramatic and avant-garde approach to fashion, it seems appropriate Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren decided to create their retrospective in a totally unconventional and unexpected way. Guests marveled at an army of quirky Victorian figures walking down a catwalk platform in miniature versions of the label’s most provocative and exciting iconic runway looks. The exclusive ROM debut featured a star-studded cocktail hour, seated dinner and glamorous after-party to commemorate Toronto’s seventh annual festival of arts and creativity. You can catch the Viktor&Rolf Dolls exhibit in person from June 9-30.
