Brigitte Bardot, Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, Liz Taylor and Sophia Loren made appearances in the second episode of Canada’s Best Beauty Talent. All 10 remaining contestants competed to create a modern-day interpretation of classic Hollywood style icons.

The five judges–including supermodel and series host Coco Rocha, FLARE Editor-in-Chief Lisa Tant and CityLine host Tracy Moore—were unanimous that hair stylist Caylee and make-up artist Marcia’s contemporary Liz Taylor look was the winner. The glamorous look incorporated Taylor’s signature purple eyes and voluminous hair, swept to the side for a modern touch. Tant called it editorial, while Moore said it was accessible, which is ultimately why this look won.

The losing team had Audrey Hepburn, who was known for her chic, gamine look, but when hair stylist Shab and make-up artist Kven tried to reinvent Hepburn’s legendary style the hair looked too undone and the make-up was too bold. The look did not resemble the iconic actress, which lead to the duo having to pack their kits and leave the competition.
