
James Bond 2012
To help celebrate James Bond’s 50th anniversary and the release of Skyfall,
the TIFF Bell Lightbox will be hosting a series of 007-related events.
From October 26 to January 20, 2013, the TIFF Bell Lightbox will be home
to the most comprehensive Bond exhibit, Designing 007: Fifty Years of Bond Style. Props like the life-sized replica of “golden girl” Jill Masterson in Goldfinger, the Tom Ford tuxedo from Quantum of Solace
and state-of-the-art gadgets from the Q branch will be on display. TIFF
members get free admission into the exhibit while prices for non-TIFF
members are $15 for adults, $12 for students and seniors, and $10.50 for
children.
The TIFF Bell Lightbox will screen all the Bond films up until 2008’s Quantum of Solace. The Shaken, Not Stirred: Bond on Film screenings will begin on October 26th. In addition, TIFF will also host a Bond vs. Blofeld
movie marathon for fans of 007’s arch-villain, Ernst Stavro Blosfeld.
The screening of the six films that feature the rivalry will begin on
Friday October 27 at 7 p.m. and last until 1 p.m. the next day.
