New York City’s Momofuku empire expanded to Toronto last year, and the top taste is at Shōtō, cult chef David Chang’s deluxe tasting-menu restaurant. On the third floor of the towering glass Momofuku complex, next to the Shangri-La Hotel, the space seats just 22 people around the open kitchen, where chefs prepare a seasonal 10-course tasting menu that could bring anything from tandoori-spiced lobster tail to roasted goose won tons. $150 per person, plus $80 for drink pairings.
