The Bachelor Canada Recap: Finale
And they lived happily ever after? Following weeks of cheesy dates and endless tears (not to mention disappointingly few hot tub scenes), Brad narrowed down the field of 25 prospective soul mates to Whitney and Bianka. In the season finale, he took them home to Hudson, QC, to meet his family -- including his intimidating mother and outspoken older sister, who both boast the kind of interrogation tactics that can only be honed by repeated viewings of Reservoir Dogs. While Bianka won them over with her easygoing charm, Whitney wilted under the scrutiny. Things got even worse for her on her final date with Brad in Barbados, where she picked a fight before abruptly dropping out of the competition.
In the end, Brad ended up choosing Bianka – pretty much by default. (Though it’s clear she’s the better choice, our gut tells us that he was leaning towards Whitney before her breakdown.) Still, he seems genuinely committed to making marriage to Bianka work, and the proposal scene was so sweet and moving, we could almost forgive the fact that it was soundtracked by a Bryan Adams ballad. Almost.
See what fashion plays Bianka and Whitney made in their bid to win the final rose – and ring.
