Stream Rush Midnight’s killer debut album

We love it so much we want to share

Rush Midnight Tour Poster

There’s synth pop that gets the party started (Daft Punk), and there’s synth pop that helps you cool down in the aftermath (Toro Y Moi). Rush Midnight effortlessly bridges the gap between those two states. Brooklynite Russ Manning—total cutie and former bass player in Twin Shadow’s band—evokes the sweat-glazed euphoria of steamy summer all-nighters. His self-titled debut album (Last Gang Records) is all undulating bass, syncopated beats, murmured vocals, deep-funk synths and a tastefully deployed cowbell. —Sarah Liss

Like what you hear? Rush Midnight is available in stores and online today. Or catch him live at one of his upcoming Canadian shows (where the equally crushable band Nightbox will be opening for him):

June 11 – Kingston
June 12 – Ottawa
