Missing the Emmys was bad enough, but two nights of Paradise in a row is downright cruel. Watching Graham ignore his anxiety about AshLee was frustrating—it is possible to be too go-with-the-flow—as was watching someone as lovely as Christy grow insecure just because she wasn’t coupled up. So what if you go home?! I honestly don’t see the point of wanting to stay.

This week’s awards go to… (drumroll!)

Most Entertainingly Apathetic Zack, for his complete non-attempt at convincing Clare to stay. It was obvious Zack wanted out for awhile. It was amusing watching him stammer out niceties and gingerly rub Clare’s back in the middle of the night after she threatened to leave. As he tiptoed around her blow-up and inched bit-by-bit towards being home free, I couldn’t help but think that many of us, at some point in our lives, could probably relate.

Creativity in Storytelling The editors, for brazenly—and falsely—implying that Christy, Jesse, and Lucy had some sort of threesome together.

Most Aware of What Show She Was On Lucy. Make no mistake, she’s very bright and a joy to be around. I know people take issue with the nudity, but in my opinion it’s fantastic that she wasn’t pretending this show is something to be taken seriously. She treated Paradise the way it deserves to be treated: like a big joke. The show makes fun of its contestants and she made fun right back.
