Fierce-O-Meter: This Week's Most Fearless Females on TV

Flat screen, flat screen on the wall, who was the fiercest of them all? We rank the week in television on a scale of 1 to 5 Beyoncés

For years, our small screens were awash in angsty male antiheros. Dark and tortured Don Draper types who wouldn’t know fierce if it kicked them in the cojones. Lately though, the TV tide seems to be shifting with a surplus of super fly females from surgeons to sorority queen bees. To mark the moment in Grrrrrrl Power, we’re rounding up the most butt-kicking women on the boob tube each week.

Sharon Stone, Agent X

A newly elected vice president (Stone) learns that there is a secret clause in the constitution that gives the VP power to conduct secret butt-kicking missions under the radar, along with the help of her hunky, tuxedo-clad super soldier. The pilot ep was mega cheesy and this TNT show probably won’t be around for long, still it’s nice to see typical gender roles subverted. (Also nice to see Major Dad back on the small screen as the Alfred to Stone’s Batman.)

The Democratic front-runner closed Saturday night’s barb-fest by noting that a president’s job is to “do everything SHE can to lift up the people of this country.” Preach, HRC, preach!!

Alicia Florrick, The Good Wife

This episode focuses on the “new Alicia” who drinks super strong margaritas instead of red wine, doesn’t sweat what other people think of her, and uses her estranged husband to “get laid”. Because, to further quote Alicia 2.0 (who scores extra fierce points for making granny panty beige look hotter than hot pink): “Sex is sexier without love.” Cigarette, please!!!!
