Fierce-O-Meter: This Week's Most Fearless Females on TV

Flat screen, flat screen on the wall, who was the fiercest of them all? We rank the week in television on a scale of 1 to 5 Beyoncés

For years, our small screens were awash in angsty male antiheros. Dark and tortured Don Draper types who wouldn’t know fierce if it kicked them in the cojones. Lately though, the TV tide seems to be shifting with a surplus of super fly females from surgeons to sorority queen bees. To mark the moment in Grrrrrrl Power, we’re rounding up the most butt-kicking women on the boob tube each week.

Because if you’re going to spend the day on a Crackhouse Walking Tour, you might as well do it in blood red fur that looks like it came from the House of Satan. “Get yo’ hands off my fur,” Cookie tells her sister, shortly after referring to her as a heifer.

Consummate special guest star Vanessa Williams plays a billionaire campaign donor who always gets what she wants (lucky Eli), and whose idea of foreplay is writing a big…fat…cheque.

After getting stood up by a Tinder date, Helen opts to pick up the old-fashioned way by bringing home the drunk guy she met at a bar in the middle of the afternoon. He is a hot surgeon who may have removed his own soul. She is a horny housewife who tells strange men that dating is “just an audition” for sex and then boinks them in her basement while the kids watch TV upstairs…which is downright PG compared with what her ex was getting up to. Not fierce, Noah. Not fierce.
