Fierce-O-Meter: The Week's Most Fearless Females on TV

Flat screen, flat screen on the wall, who was the fiercest of them all? FLARE ranks the week’s most powerful women on TV on a scale of 1 to 5 Beyoncés

Marnie Michaels, Girls
When your bandmate slash soon-to-be-ex husband brings Lisa Bonet into your rehearsal and she hasn’t aged a day since The Cosby Show and she tells you that you need to work on your negative energy while she tongue wrestles your ex right in front of you. . . there is only one response: Nama-fucking-ste.

Olivia Pope, Scandal
Her wardrobe has gotten a lot brighter in recent episodes, but make no mistake—things are getting extremely dark in Liv Land. To avoid spoilers, we’re not going to say who bludgeoned who with the business end of a chair, but suffice to say, the white hat has come off. Also: It’s a long shot, but we’re calling the blood-spatter makeup trend here and now.

Melissa McCarthy, The Tonight Show
It has been pretty much the best week ever for McCarthy, whose new movie The Boss beat out Batman vs. Superman at the box office on the same day she was the first woman ever to win the Comedic Genius trophy at the MTV Movie Awards. . . and we got confirmation that she (aka Sookie St. James) will indeed be returning for the Gilmore Girls reboot. Still, none of those moments (amazing as they were) could top MM’s appearance on the Tonight Show‘s regular lip synch segment. Words fail. Just watch.
