Fall TV: Premieres & New Seasons on City

With season premieres of Rebel Wilson's Super Fun Night to returning favourites Scandal and Modern Family, City's Fall line up just booked your week.

Fall is a time for fresh starts. For some, that means a new school year. For others, new boots. And for many, it means new prime-time television. Get ready to cozy up on the couch to catch up with returning characters and meet new faces. Here are some of the Fall TV premieres airing on City this week that we’re scheduling in our DVRs. (P.S. Scandal season 2 spoiler below!)

Modern Family

Modern Family, Premieres Wednesday, September 25th at 9 p.m.

Fresh off another Emmy-win for Best Comedy, the Pritchetts are back for season six, promising nothing less than completely relatable dysfunction for the entire one-hour premiere. Claire and Phil try to plan a week sans-kids, Manny and Jake start high school and a big surprise is in store.

Pilot

The Crazy Ones, Premieres Thursday, September 26th at 9 p.m.

Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Gellar play a father-daughter advertising duo. Simon Roberts (Williams) is a creative, wacky genius that creates chaos for his uptight daughter and fellow firm partner Sydney Roberts (Gellar). This real-life award-winning duo in should provide an entertaining dynamic on-screen.

Revenge

Revenge, Premieres Sunday, September 29th at 9 p.m.

The first 60 seconds of the premiere of Revenge has a boat, a bride and a bullet. I know. You’re hooked and this show does not play catch and release. The elite Hamptonites drama promises more twists and rewind-worthy moments in its third season. Coming Up: 5 Minutes With… new cast member, Canadian actress Karine Vanasse. How will the French Canadian fit into the winding plot?

HANNAH WARE, STUART TOWNSEND

Betrayal, Premieres Sunday, September 29th at 10 p.m.

If you’re looking for something spicy, this new super steamy drama centres around a photographer, Sara, who married to a workaholic lawyer. After meeting a dreamy stranger at a party, their paths continue to cross and eventually the two become entangled in an affairand everyone’s live will never be the same.

Package Deal

Package Deal, Premieres Monday, September 30th at 8:30 p.m.

Danny, the youngest of three, starts a new relationship with Kim (played by Canadian Julia Voth). The new couple are subject to the constant meddling of Danny’s older brothers Sheldon and Ryan. Canadian Andrew Orenstein , who was behind other gut-busters Malcom in the Middle and 3rd Rock from the Sun, executive produces.

Coming Up: 5 Minutes With…Julia Voth. How this model-turned-actress (and Saskatchewan native) went from working with Calvin Klein to starring in a new sitcom.

Super Fun Night

Super Fun Night, Premieres Wednesday, October 2nd at 9:30 p.m.

Australian riot Rebel Wilson stars as one of three roommates just looking for a fun night out…but their first attempt does not go according to plan. There is an unfortunate incident on the way to the bar involving flashing hearts on unintentionally exposed undergarments, a knife yielding roommate and an attractive co-worker. Will Wilson end up with a super fun night? We hope watching the comedian’s antics will make for a super fun night-in for viewers.

Scandal

Scandal, Premieres Thursday, October 3rd at 10 p.m.

Cover star Kerry Washington continues in her Emmy-nominated role as Washington fixer Olivia Pope, who now faces her biggest challenge yet: Covering up her own scandal. Her affair with the president has made it to the headlines and the premiere preview leaves us with the question, “Who squealed?”
