A new resto called Rue La Rue Cafe is opening its doors in NYC this August with the inimitable Rue McClanahan—the actress who brought to life saucy minx Blanche Devereaux on TV’s Golden Girls—as its patron saint. The menu will feature items inspired by Rue and the other Girls and the decor will make use of Rue’s real-life memorabilia, like her Emmy and pieces of Blanche’s colourful TV wardrobe. While this good news is reason enough to book that plane ticket to NYC, it also inspired us to put together a wish-list of TV hangout spots that should open for real. After all, if Toronto is getting a Seinfeld pop-up bar, anything’s possible!
