Our favourite zombie-killer Emma Stone is at it again. Stone, who starred in 2009’s Zombieland, has been cast as Elizabeth Bennett in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, the role which was originally supposed to be played by Natalie Portman. The new mom had to drop out due to “scheduling conflicts” but she’ll stay on as the film’s producer.
We can’t wait to see Stone kicking zombie butt in this apocalyptic remake of the Jane Austen classic, but we’re more excited to find out who will play love interest Mr. Darcy. (Can anyone do it better than Colin Firth?)
One leading man who might be up to the job is Stone’s rumoured new boyfriend, Andrew Garfield. The could-be couple met on the set of the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man, which opens next summer. But we’ll see Emma on the big screen plenty before then. She’s starring opposite Ryan Gosling and Steve Carrell in the romantic comedy Crazy, Stupid, Love which opens July 29 and she can also be seen in The Help, a film about race relations in 1960s Mississippi, which opens August 12.
