Little known fact: Ms. Brown was writing songs at age 14 and shopping her first demo at 18.

Flare:  Who is your favourite designer?
Divine Brown:  “Humm, I don’t know!   I wore Arthur Mendoza for my Fashion Cares performance and I loved the look.”

F:  What’s your biggest fashion pet peeve?
D.B.:  “Polka dots and [or] paisley”.

F:  What does the word ‘style’ mean to you?
D.B.:  “It means representing yourself.”

F:  What’s in your CD player right now?
D.B.:  “Gnarls Barkley.”

F:  What’s the one item you can’t leave home without?
D.B.:  “Lip gloss.”

F:  What was the last book you read?
D.B.: Angels and Demons by Dan Brown.”

D.B.:  “Capoeira.  It’s a Brazilian dance form which combines martial arts [of African origin], music and clapping. I also work out with a personal trainer.”

F:  If you could attempt any career other than your own, what would it be?
D.B.:  “A history teacher.”

F:  Where have you not been that you’d love to go?
D.B.:  “Brazil.”

F:  Who do you most admire?
D.B.:  “Oprah Winfrey.”

F:  How would you like to be remembered?
D.B.:  “As a kick-ass soul singer.”
