We know her for coining the term “arm parties” (an armful of bracelets), her outrageous designer outfits, and her collaborations with labels such as Michael Kors and Dannijo – but The Man Repeller’s Leandra Medine is now ready to be known as an author.
Medine, who found viral success through her fashion blog The Man Repeller, will write a book featuring a collection of short, semi-autobiographical essays. “It’s based on the notion that the female memory is so driven by fashion,” she told The Business of Fashion. “I can tell you exactly what I was wearing when I met my husband, when he first broke up with me, when we got back together.”
The book, which is yet-to-be-titled, is set to be released September 2013 by Grand Central Publishing. No word on whether the blogger will give fashion advice or not, but if it’s anything like her blog you can expect humour, fashion satire, and over-the-top ensembles. – Christian Allaire
