You’d never know it from the way the polished movie star effortlessly wears Lanvin on our August cover, but Mila Kunis likes to keep it casual. When she arrived for FLARE’s photo shoot, she was dressed in sweatpants, flip-flops and a tank top from Target. But when she stepped onto the set to model for photographer Tony Duran, she transformed into the style star whose red carpet appearances during last winter’s awards season won raves from the fashion community. Indeed, the beauty professionals she worked with on this shoot, hairstylist Mara Roszak and makeup artist Tracey Levy, were the same team who styled her during the Oscars.
While we await her sexy new comedy with Justin Timberlake, Friends with Benefits, out July 22, Mila’s already buzzing over her next great role. She’s preparing to play wicked witch Theodora in Disney’s Oz: The Great and Powerful. She told the crew stories about screen tests in green makeup for the film, which also stars James Franco, Michelle Williams and Rachel Weisz.
While browsing the accessories, Mila singled out a pair of chartreuse Louboutins as a favourite. When the shoot wrapped, she left with a new addition to her shoe collection: the limited edition FLARE x Aldo shoe co-designed by FLARE’s fashion director Elizabeth Cabral. The snakeskin print and leather wedge heel works perfectly with Mila’s unapologetically sexy style, at least for days when a flip-flop just won’t do.
