Scandals, secrets and a whole lot of gold fabric surround the third season of The Tudors—which is now on DVD. Jonathan Rhys Meyers is once again at the top of his game as the treacherous Henry VIII but this time around he drives his new wife (the lady Jane Seymour) completely crazy with his spastic in-court behavior. In fact, he gets so unruly in court, his ego triples in size (by the end of the last disc, it grows even bigger than the kingdom of England). Lovers of fashion will no doubt swoon over the many stylish scenes in this season because the quality of wardrobe going on here brings with it a barrage of sharp, Alexander McQueen-ish detail. —E.I.
