Toronto got a lot more Hollywood last night. Robert Pattinson, Sarah Gadon, Emily Hampshire and Paul Giamatti, the stars of the much-anticipated David Cronenberg film Cosmopolis, were on hand yesterday to premiere the film at the TIFF Bell Lightbox.
Although fans went crazy for Twilight’s Pattinson (no surprise there), we couldn’t help but be a fan of Gadon’s classic red carpet style. Gadon wore a black Prada dress the red carpet, while co-star Hampshire wore a Neil Barrett dress with jewels by Birks. The cast also made a quick appearance at George Stroumboulopoulous Tonight (on the CBC) to discuss the film (the interview airs Thursday, June 7).
The film tells the story of a 28-year-old billionaire (Pattinson) riding across a dystopian Manhattan in a limo when a group of characters begin to tear his world apart. The movie opens in theatres June 8. – Christian Allaire
