Buffy is back! Our favourite vampire-slayer returns to TV in her new show, Ringer, about an ex-stripper on the run from the mob after witnessing a murder. In the show SMG plays twin sisters Bridget (the stripper) and Siobhan (a high-society snob). Here’s the twist: when Siobhan mysteriously goes missing, Bridget assumes her identity in an attempt to escape her troubles. It sounds like the thriller version of Lindsay Lohan’s The Parent Trap. We can’t wait. The show premieres September 13 on CW.
K.Stew stars in the upcoming Snow White and the Huntsman film as a princess on a mission to vanquish the Evil Queen. All the stars of this film are scheduled to appear at Comic-Con on Saturday, including Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron and Sam Claflin. But we know what you’re all really wondering: “Will Edward and Bella make an appearance?” Of course they will. Those lucky enough to be in attendance on Thursday will be treated to some exclusive footage from Breaking Dawn: Part 1 and Q&As with the cast. The latest Twilight flick hits theatres November 18 and Snow White and the Huntsman comes out in June 2012.
This Canadian leading lady stars in the hit CW show The Vampire Diaries alongside real-life beau, Ian Somerhalder, and the smoldering Paul Wesley. Nina says fans of the show should prepare for some big changes in season three. “The whole chemistry of the show is shifting and it’s going to be changing the relationships between people who have previously bonded,” she says. Let’s hope these onscreen changes don’t rock Nina and Ian’s off-screen chemistry. Season three premieres September 15 on CW.
If you watch Game of Thrones you know not to mess with Emilia Clarke’s Daenerys Targaryen. She may look like a beautiful blonde-haired princess but she’s really a dragon queen out to reclaim her throne. The cast of the hit HBO series will be on hand to discuss the much-anticipated second season. Fans can expect to hear about some new characters, epic battle scenes and, of course, dragons. Season two hits your TV screens in the spring of 2012.
A special sneak peek of the pilot episode of The Secret Circle starring Britt Robertson debuts on Wednesday night. This new supernatural thriller about a secret coven of witches comes from the executive producer of The Vampire Diaries, who knows how to do supernatural soap. Britt plays Cassie, an orphan who moves in with her grandma in Chance Harbor, Washington. Here she learns she’s a witch who is the key to unlocking a centuries-old battle of good versus evil. Sounds spooky! The show premieres September 15 on CW. – Regan Reid
