Clint Eastwood is set to direct Beyoncé in a musical remake of A Star Is Born.
The classic Hollywood film first hit screens in 1937 and has been remade twice already, most recently in 1976. Beyoncé would be the fourth incarnation of the female lead, a role previously taken on by Janet Gaynor, Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand.
The plot centers on an aspiring singer/actress as she meets an established male movie star who helps launch her career while his starts to fade.
No word yet on who will play the male lead, but it’s sure to be a coveted spot.
