Britney Spears flashed her new engagement ring Friday night at fiancé Jason Trawick’s 40th birthday party in Las Vegas. The 30-year old singer announced her engagement to her boyfriend of three years–and one-time agent–last week over Twitter. Trawick reportedly popped the question during a private birthday dinner.
Trawick designed the ring with Hollywood jeweller Neil Lane via phone and email as he travelled with Spears on tour. The custom piece is based on a tiara (Lane told People that Trawick sees Spears as his “princess”), and features a white diamond set in a platinum band ringed with 90 small diamonds.
This will be Spears’ third trip down the aisle. She married a childhood friend, Jason Alexander, in 2004. (The union was annulled after just 55 hours.) The singer was also married for two years to Kevin Federline, who is reportedly happy for the couple.
Spears tweeted over the weekend: “Tonight was one of the most magical nights of my life. Sucha na amazing time with my new finace and our closest friends and family. #Blessed.”
