Beyoncé stole the show at the Glastonbury Music Festival in Somerset, England on Sunday. More than 170,000 fans watched Beyoncé, the first female to headline the main stage in the festival’s history, belt out hits like “Single Ladies,” “Crazy in Love” and a medley of Destiny’s Child favourites. She even covered “You Oughta Know” by Canada’s own, Alanis Morissette, and the Kings of Leon hit “Sex on Fire.” The Queen B was joined on stage by an all-female band.
Beyoncé’s hubby, Jay-Z, and her BFF, Gwyneth Paltrow, watched the hour-and-a-half long performance together from the VIP section. Beyoncé finished her set by saying, “Can I just say ‘I love you’ to Coldplay and U2!” But looks like Chris Martin didn’t return the sentiment. Though Beyoncé watched the Coldplay concert with Jay-Z and Gwyneth Paltrow on Saturday night, Mr. GOOP was a no-show for her concert.
Beyoncé’s new record, 4, drops tomorrow. For more Beyoncé check out her fashionable music video for “Run The World (Girls)” and enjoy a taste of her Glastonbury performance (which is sure to give you the chills) below. – Regan Reid
