A couple of weeks ago, we speculated about the gown that Twilight’s Bella Swan would wear to her long-awaited wedding. With Breaking Dawn – Part 1 finally in theatres, the design is now out in the open – and will soon be adorning every Twihard taking a trip down the aisle.
Having already explored the weird and wonderful world that is Twilight memorabilia, we have to say that the Alfred Angelo replica of Bella Swan’s bridal ensemble truly does take the wedding cake. The bridal company’s US$799 version of the soon-to-be-vampire bride’s dress, features the same long sleeves, curved seams and lace-covered back as the Carolina Herrera-designed original. (Forks, Washington apparently has one hell of a good bridal salon.) Would be Bellas should visit alfredangelobridal.ca for stores.
Brides with more lavish budgets will soon be able to get their hands on the real thing. Herrera has announced that she will be replicating the custom creation for sale in her CHNY boutiques in 2012. “I wanted to create a magical moment that they had at the wedding,” Herrera said. There’s no word yet on how much the gown will cost, but one thing’s for sure: a sparkly vampire paramour is not included.
