We caught up with the Up in the Air director

We’ll definitely be tuning into the Golden Globes this Sunday and rooting for Canuck director Jason Reitman.  The man behind Juno, has received several nominations for his latest flick, Up in the Air (starring George Clooney).  Here, he shares his take on the biz.

Q: When did you know that you wanted to be a director?
A: When I saw the film Clerks

Q: Do you ever get star struck?
A: Sure, when meeting athletes and musicians

Q: What’s your favorite movie?
A: Dr. Strangelove or Election with a hint of Ferris Bueller‘s Day Off and a dash of Die Hard.

Q: What’s the best thing about being a director?
A: Watching people laugh at your movie

Q: Worst thing about being a director?
A: Watching people not laugh at your movie

Q: What inspires you?
A: Music and dark comedy

Q: Who is on your wish list to work with?
A: Sarah Silverman, Billy Bob Thorton, Laura Linney and Philip Seymour Hoffman
