The Academy Awards were handed out in Los Angeles last night, ending speculation and crushing dreams of Oscar-pool glory. The Artist, an indie film-turned-juggernaut, took home five awards, including the Best Picture nod and a win for Best Actor Jean Dujardin. Meryl Streep grabbed her third Oscar out from under supposed front-runner Michelle Williams, while Christopher Plummer, at 82-years-old, became the oldest winner ever with his first Academy Award.
