On Instagram today, Tavi Gevinson dropped a hint about a new project in the works, posting the photo below with the caption: “Check out my new shadow puppet design, ‘Small Forlorn Woman-Child’! Jk, it’s from a thing I did with @clinique, coming soon.”

A rep for the beauty brand confirmed to FLARE that Clinique is working with the teen phenom on a yet-to-be-announced project.
Sounds like another plum gig to add to Gevinson’s ever-expanding resumé: since making a name for herself at just 12 years old with her fashion blog, Style Rookie, and later as founder and editor of the online teen magazine Rookie, the now-18-year-old has also branched out into acting (Enough Said, Broadway play This Is Our Youth). No surprise that she was last year named one of Time magazine’s 25 most influential teens.
Clinique hasn’t released any further specifics about the collaboration, but the rep told FLARE, “Clinique was inspired by [Gevinson], and has chosen to celebrate her trailblazing spirit, talent and passion for her own generation. We’re always thrilled to collaborate with women who are cultural curators in distinct ways, and who are at the cusp of creating global influence.”
Gevinson, for her part, seems to be a fan of Clinique as well: she’s touted the brand’s lotion in interviews, and sharp-eyed Insta fans may have noticed Clinique foundation, mascara and Chubby Stick lip balms scattered on the teen’s vanity.
