As a child, were you ever fascinated by the way that two magnets attract or repel one another depending on which way they face? Did you ever find joy in dragging a magnet along the inside of your desk and watching the paper clips on the surface go wild? Or maybe you simply wished you had magical powers à la Magneto or Glinda the Good Witch.

If any of the above options sound like you, or you are simply looking for a fast way to create a super-cool textured nail, Nails Inc. of London’s magnetic nail lacquer is for you.

All you have to do is apply a clear basecoat and then a single coat of magnetic polish (available in metallic purple, gold and chrome). Once that coat has dried for a few minutes, apply a second coat of the magnetic polish one nail at a time. After each application, hold the magnetic lid over the wet polish for 10 to 15 seconds. The lacquer contains tiny metallic particles that react to the pull of the magnet, thereby creating a wavy striped design. Repeat the step for all ten nails. Once that coat is done, apply a single coat of topcoat to seal in your new nail design.
