We checked out the launch party of LA-based Tokidoki cosmetics at the Eaton Centre’s Sephora store and wow––were we surprised! Admittedly, we hadn’t heard much about this apparent cult brand before now. When we arrived, we spotted a massive lineup around the first floor of the mall filled with fans all waiting to meet Simone Legno, the Italian-born, L.A. transplant who creates the Japanese themed line of cosmetics, clothing, and accessories. The makeup line itself has an amazing assortment of colours available in quirky-cool eye shadows, face powders, and lip glosses all dressed to impressed in graphic cartoon covered packaging. Our favourites are the multi-coloured wet eye-liners that can also be used to create tattoo-like graphics on your skin.
