After David Letterman told Taylor Swift that she smelled of “expensive wood” on his show last week (noting the Christmas tree farm that Taylor grew up on as a possible explanation), it begged the question: Why doesn’t the megastar have her own perfume yet? Answer: Come next fall, she will. The country sweetheart has inked a deal with beauty brand Elizabeth Arden to launch her own line of perfume products, set to launch late 2011. Though few details are known yet, Taylor will be involved in product development, packaging and advertising for the scent. But will it smell of the Swift family’s prized Douglas-firs? Time will tell.
