Staff Profile Tanya Watt, Art Director
All-time fave read: Into Thin Air, by Jon Krakauer. A riveting survivor’s account of Everest’s worst disaster where many climbing legends lost their lives. I also have to include anything Oscar Wilde. I love his selection of short plays. I can read them over and over again.
Recommended must-read: Jennifer Government, by Max Barry. A look at a possible dark future where you are your job and your job is who you are. Only use the drinking fountain on your floor.
Fave guilty-pleasure read: Biographies and autobiographies ranging from Bill Clinton to Sydney Poitier.
Currently reading: The Da Vinci Code, by Dan Brown. Who hasn’t read it but me; got to before the movie comes out in May. I love the blend of religion, folklore and science in Europe.
Last read: Chinese Takeout, by Arthur Nersesian. A story about a bottomed out artists’ pursuit of inspiration in New York city. I love the way Nersesian uses New York city as a character in his novels.
