Save time/money/cabinet space with a multitasker like Bio-Oil

We’re taking a cue from the Bangles today. It’s another manic Monday here and we have no trouble seeing why the retro rockers gave today its alliterative nickname. With a lengthy to-do list, multitasking is key, which made us think, why shouldn’t our beauty booty work just as hard? Say hello to Bio-Oil, a moisturizing skincare product that can check off a big chunk on your skincare to-do list all from one bottle. Among Bio-Oil’s multitude of uses: It reduces the appearance of scars and stretch marks, moisturizes dry skin and helps correct uneven skin tone. But our favourite Bio-Oil use right now is for quenching dry cuticles before painting on a bright summery mani (aqua blue, of course – our current nail obsession).

The oil, which was originally developed in South Africa in 1987, contains lavender, rosemary and chamomile oils to soothe skin, as well as a lab replica of the oil that gives ducks’ feathers their sheen. Although the product has been around a while, we’re still coming up with new ways to use it. Do you have any unique uses? We’d love to hear your ideas below!

Bio-Oil, $13. At major drug, grocery and mass retailers across Canada.
