Lancôme Releases New Short Film with Sketches by Lanvin's Alber Elbaz

The countdown to Lancôme’s Alber Elbaz collection begins with a whimsical short film

When Lanvin’s Alber Elbaz and Lancôme announced their collaboration on a new makeup collection for summer 2013, it was one of the most buzzed about beauty news bites in recent memory. Months later, the time has almost arrived for the exciting limited edition products—including mascaras, palettes, eyeshadows and false lashes—to hit counters on June 15. This morning, a cheerful video created with the fashion designer’s colourful sketches was released by Lancôme. Only one minute and thirty seconds long, the short film took six months to animate and centres around a catwalk where women slowly turn into bottles of mascara. Pure whimsy from the mind of one of fashion’s most celebrated designers.
