3.1 Phillip Lim Resort 2014
3.1 Phillip Lim for Resort 2014 was a streamlined, largely black-and-white collection meant less for vacation than for a playful working gal. The outfit above would work just as well in the office as at a sunset dinner date. Take the monochromatic look one step further with nail art to match. We designed an exclusive manicure that recreates the paint-spattered look of the blouse above:
Step-by-Step:
1. Apply a base coat.
2. Brush on two coats of white polish. Allow to dry.
3. With a black lacquer, paint thick, curving lines along the left and right sides of the nail.

4. Paint a splotch of black on the white centre. Don’t try too hard to make it perfect. The splatter should look messy.

5. Add white splotches on the upper left and lower right corners of each nail. Use a nail art brush if your nails are small.

6. Seal with a topcoat.

If you prefer to contrast a two-tone outfit with a burst of colour (or you’re just looking to brighten up your tips or toes), try one of these other shades inspired by Resort 2014 collections:
