Gabrielle Rainbow in her Montreal studio
If the uptick in #fauxfreckles Instas has you wanting specks of your own, a growing number of cosmetic tattoo shops have the ink—and the taste level. At Montreal’s Twin Peonies studio, tattoo artist Gabrielle Rainbow specializes in semi-permanent freckling.
Similar to brow microblading, the flecks are created by implanting pigment just below the skin’s surface (it lasts one to three years and costs $250). The Good Geisha, Toronto’s first cosmetic tattoo shop, offers not-born- with-it beauty marks for a spot-on selfie.
