Steal This Backstage Beauty Trick: Goodbye Tired Eyes

Pat McGrath’s quick and easy way to score wide-eyed beauty

As much as we love being treated to spectacular makeup masterpieces on the runway (see: camo facepaint at Vivienne Westwood), it’s also nice to spot ready-to-wear beauty. Enter Dolce & Gabbana. Last spring, we loved the wearable cranberry pouts, and this spring, we’re again being treated to practical makeup, this time in soft shades of caramel and peach.

The best trick that makeup artist Pat McGrath had up her sleeve backstage? Using nude liner on models’ upper and lower waterlines to open up tired eyes. Considering how wide-eyed the models looked despite being deep in the throes of runway season, we’re definitely adding this quick trick to our morning routine. To add definition to the rest of the eye, draw a line across your top lashline with brown shadow  and lightly shade your upper crease with peach and taupe powders. Finish the look with rosy lips and a softly contoured caramel cheek.
