Bye Joan! With the second half of Mad Men’s final season looming (April 5—sob!), Christina Hendricks is making major changes. This morning, she stepped out with a new blonde hue.
No Kim K. platinum here; Hendricks went for a golden tone that warms up her fair complexion, just like her former red did. (For would-be copycats: the star, who is a spokesperson for Clairol’s Nice’n Easy, is now sporting the brand’s Permanent Colour Crème in Natural Honey Blonde.)
Though Hendricks’ fiery mane has become a signature, she’s naturally flaxen. She first dyed it red when she was 10 years old, spurred by her love for Anne of Green Gables.
Her colour crush continued into her teens, and to today. “My high-school job was working in a salon as a shampoo girl, so I was used to seeing people transform themselves with their hair, which is why it has always been significant to me,” Hendricks said in a press release.
