It’s hard to think of a busier 16-year-old. Coming up for Justin Bieber this fall: a 3-D concert movie, a book launch, a guest role on CSI and surely more record-breaking singles and hair whips to keep young hearts hopelessly aflutter. Yet, the singing sensation is still adding more to his packed schedule. It was announced today that Bieber is the new spokesperson for Proactiv Solution skincare, the American acne-fighting line best known for their three-step kit that helps treat and prevent breakouts. As an addition to the past line-up of other mega stars who have repped the brand (like Katy Perry, Avril Lavigne and Jennifer Love Hewitt), Bieber is a wise choice for a spokesperson, especially considering his loyal following (hordes of hormone-raging teens).
We had a chance to preview Proactiv’s latest innovation, due in Canada this fall. The brand’s scientists have taken their top-selling line and kicked the effectiveness up a notch with new micro-crystals. Sounds complicated, but basically the particles of benzoyl peroxide (the key blemish-busting ingredient) are now tinier, meaning they can penetrate pores more quickly and gently. Tiny and powerful? Of course, we can see why Bieber makes the perfect fit.
Proactiv Solution 3-Step System, $25 for 30-day supply. Available at proactivsolution.ca this fall.
