The smoky eye is given new life at the Eat, Pray, Love premiere

At last night’s Eat, Pray, Love premiere in New York, Julia Roberts certainly lived up to her “pretty woman” title. Pro makeup artist Genevieve Herr revamped the standard smoky eye by swapping in sultry shades of aubergine to play up the star’s brown eyes—a look we can’t wait to try for fall. The blend of purple hues came from Lancôme’s soon-to-be-released French Touch Color Design Quad. The palette is part of the Paris-inspired French Coquettes collection, due in stores next month.

We think this gorgeously feminine makeup (complete with rosy cheeks and lips) was perfectly complemented by the A-lister’s long, loose waves. What do you think? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
