Have you always been passionate about fashion?
I enjoyed dressing up as most young girls do. It wasn’t until I really got into the business that I started to appreciate what it takes to create fashion.
How would you describe your fashion taste?
What’s your favourite piece in your wardrobe now?
My Buscemi sneakers and Alexander Wang “Parental Advisory” sweatshirt.
What gives you confidence?
Music. Empowering music uplifts your spirit and makes you feel good—especially when it’s created by strong, confident women.
What makes a woman beautiful?
Beauty is confidence and self-awareness. To be beautiful, you have to know who you are on the inside. It’s also kindness and respect for both yourself and others.
What is the best beauty tip you’ve learned on the job?
“When in doubt, put a lip on.”
What is your signature makeup look?
When I do my own makeup, I like to keep it simple and natural. I apply a bit of foundation and a golden shimmer for cheek definition. And I always try to make sure my eyebrows are perfect.
How does it feel to be a Maybelline New York spokesperson?
I’m proud to say that I am a Maybelline girl and hopefully I can make young women feel the same way I did when I saw the advertisements growing up. The brand imagery is always beautiful and positive. To now be a part of that is a dream come true!
Dunn also loves to cook. Case in point: Well Dunn with Jourdan Dunn, her cooking series on Jay Z’s Life and Times YouTube Channel. Here she is cooking shrimp tempura with Cara Delevingne earlier this year:
