On the final night of World Mastercard Fashion Week, I was invited to attend the Mikael D runway show at on offsite location–the Fermenting Cellar in the Distillery District in Toronto.
I arrived backstage and met with Paul Perreira, lead hair stylist for the Mikael D show and resident stylist at Solo Bace salon. He gave me step-by-step directions how to DIY the same ’60s inspired up-do he created for the show, using products from one of my personal favorite hair lines, OSIS+.
Step 1: Start by sectioning off your hair.

Step 2: Apply Schwarzkopf Professional OSIS+ Session Label Flexible Hold Hairspray, followed by hot rollers to create a form that can be used to build on.

Step 3: Moving to the front section of your hair, Apply Schwarzkopf Professional OSIS+ Session Label salt spray to create texture. Then use a round brush to create a nice swoop over.

Step 4: Remove hot rollers; backcomb tightly at the roots.

Step 5: Bring in and pin down the top section of your hair into a French twist; this allows to give a nice tight shape.

Step 6: Bring in the remaining sides; adjust to desire level of tightness. Make it as carefree as you’d like.
