Snow White and the Huntsman reigned supreme at the box office this weekend, raking in over $56 million. For us, the real winner was the natural makeup worn by Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron, who relished their classic good girl vs. bad girl rivalry with flawless skin, wide eyes and succulent lips.
Get The Look: Snow White
To achieve Kristen Stewart’s good-girl glow, start by dabbing skin with a reflective primer to mask imperfections. Using a light hand, apply a thin layer of tinted moisturizer or concealer to areas that need extra coverage. Next, brush a pale taupe shadow on eyelids and swipe black mascara onto lashes, gently combing through to separate each lash and eliminate clumps. Finish by using fingers to blend a rosy stain onto cheeks.
FLARE picks: L’Oréal Paris Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer, $17, at mass market retailers. CoverGirl LashBlast Fusion in Black, $11, at mass market retailers. Tarte Cheek Stain in Natural Beauty, $39, sephora.com.
Get The Look: Ravenna The Evil Queen
One glance at the gorgeous Charlize Theron’s Evil Queen and it’s easy to see why she was so protective of her title of fairest in the land. To achieve her look, blend a medium-brown eye shadow onto lids after skin has been prepped with primer and concealer. Highlight the crease by pressing a shimmery bronze into the groove, then line upper and lower lashes with a deep brown shadow. Blend outwards, creating a cat eye. Apply two coats of very black mascara and finish by dabbing lips in a sheer, shiny gloss that’s a few shades lighter than your natural lip colour.
P.S. Have a killer arched brow? Now is your time to rock it with a touch of brow powder for definition.
