One of our favourite starlets, Emma Stone, attended this year’s Golden Globes ceremony in a deep burgundy Lanvin dress with maroon side-paneling. To compliment the metallic detailing on the shoulders and belt, Chanel make-up artist Rachel Goodwin created a smoky pewter eye balanced with a pale pink lip.
To get the look, dab on a primer to hold make-up in place before applying a mousse foundation for soft, sheer coverage. Brush a cool pink blush, like Chanel Powder Blush in Orchid Rose, onto the apples of your cheeks.
Of course the focal point for this look is the eyes. Fully line top and bottom lids with a black eyeliner and then brush a soft grey shadow on the upper lids. A lighter shadow can be used to highlight brow bones, with a deeper slate to accent the outer eye. Dabbing a bit of metallic shadow at the center of the lid will reflect light and make the eyes pop. With such a dramatic eye, keep your lips soft and subtle.
For the Revlon brand ambassador, Goodwin chose Revlon’s ColorStay 16 Hour Eyeshadow Quad in Precocious. She also used Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Lollipop.
