What is your all-time favourite novel?
“Lolita, by Vladimir Nabokov.”
What book would you most like to see made into a film or television show?
“I guess I’d have to say Passing Strange by Sally Mcleod, seeing as how I’ve optioned it to produce as a movie! The novel touches on themes such as the pressure in our society to live up to unreasonable physical standards, race issues, class distinctions, and how all of these things affect our relationships with each other – all in the context of a compelling story with great characters.”
What would your life be without books?
“I probably wouldn’t be an actress – I’ve always felt that I learned how to act by reading great novels, trying to thoroughly imagine each scene as I went along.”
When and where do you find the time to read?
“On the plane and on vacation. And when I’m lucky, at night before I go to sleep.”
Is there any book character that is similar to you?
“Nothing comes to mind.”

“The Giant Golden Book of Elves and Fairies” (Simon and Schuster, 1951)

“Tender is the Night by F. Scott Fitzgerald.”
