I picked the Stem Cell plant protein mask because it promised to minimize the appearance of fine lines, a face phenomenon I’m sadly becoming more familiar with (I blame my two-year-old). I saved my mask for the morning when I was blissfully alone, so as to not scare said toddler, and I think I have a new favourite a.m. ritual. The mask felt pretty standard, with the same delicate untangling and strong desire to smooth out all the wrinkles and air bubbles as other ones I’ve tried. After 19 minutes (the package said 15-20) I peeled it off and rubbed the excess serum in, as per the directions. Guys, my skin looked plumper, and actually smoother. I was pleasantly surprised! I felt glowy and refreshed, no mean feat for a tired, five-months-pregnant lady. The package also states that the mask is most effective when used twice a week for one month, and then as required after. I would happily do this twice a week if these are the results after one try. My only ask is for the package to explain more about the plant proteins—what they are, their properties—because clearly they’re working.
