To mark the expansion of its Advanced Marine Biology collection and new nature-conservation initiative, La Prairie invited Brand Ambassador and environmental advocate Céline Cousteau to speak at an exclusive event held at Holt Renfrew in Montreal.
Granddaughter of legendary explorer Jacques Cousteau, Céline is an adventurer and accomplished conservationist in her own right. The founder of non-profit organization CauseCentric Productions and La Prairie spokeswoman was on hand to introduce La Prairie’s new Award for Innovation in Marine Protection, which seeks to support and promote grassroots projects for environmental protection around the globe.
Looking fresh faced and flanked by her husband and young son, the France-based filmmaker revealed her fascination with the ways in which people interact and impact local environments, evidenced by the stunning photographs she’d snapped over the years on display.
The world traveller also shared how she enjoyed her free time in Montreal, taking in the exhibitions at the Museum of Fine Arts, browsing the racks at Holt Renfrew and ogling the pastries at Old Montreal café Olive et Gourmando.
Though she swears she’s a casually dressed outdoorswoman at heart, Céline looked as comfortable in a lace shift dress and heels as we imagine she does on her deep-water dives.
