Multiple cans of hairspray, layers of crystallized polish and feathers galore–it was all in a day’s work on the set of FLARE’s December issue beauty shoot. Brushed with wine-coloured lips and sweeps of gold and diamond dust, model Ana Kurylo played starlet in the spotlight for our gruelling 13-hour shoot.
Hair and makeup artist and FLARE favourite Tony Masciangelo brought an artful take on the holiday season’s must-try beauty looks picked out by beauty editor Kristen Vinakmens. From hand-cut feathers for the eyes to frosted lips and tips, Masciangelo crafted glamorous looks that oozed shimmer and shine–the perfect companion to associate fashion editor Fiona Green’s vintage and lingerie-inspired styling.
After hours of snapping picture-perfect beauty images, our mega-watt team, including photographer Chris Nicholls and art director Tanya Watt, wrapped as the sunset closed yet another glam-filled story of party-worthy looks.
