As flowers bloom and grasses grow, we’re surrounded by the lush scents of lilies, jasmine, petunias and more. These seasonal changes demand an overhaul of our fragrance repertoire, and there’s no reason why we too can’t smell of honeysuckle and carnations.
Courtesy of the busy spring bees comes birthday boy Marc Jacobs’ newest fragrance, Honey. Joining the perfume cabinet with Lola, Daisy and Dot, Honey has hints of pear and juicy mandarin complemented by a pale yellow bottle decorated with retro dots and bumblebees. The bottle isn’t the only thing Jacobs’ new eau de toilette—set to launch this July—has in common with Dot. It was also developed by fragrance noses Annie Buzantian and Ann Gottlieb, making the new luminous and bright fragrance a must-have summer scent.
Another set of aromas we’re excited for this spring are the perfumes of L’Occitane’s La Collection de Grasse. The collection features four very summery fragrances, Jasmin & Bergamote, Magnolia & Mûre, Vanille & Narcisse and Thé Vert & Bigarade—each scent pairing perfectly suited to avoid unnecessary sweetness and add just the right amount of depth. The quartet, set to launch in May, will have you in a romantic state over its floral and fruity notes.
Jo Malone’s Osmanthus Blossom Cologne is another scent set to launch next month. This exotic fragrance combines the intoxicating scents of osmanthus blossom and cashmere wood. Ideal as a light, playful and flirty spritz, we can’t wait to spray this limited edition summer scent behind our ears and onto our wrists and see where the sultry summer nights take us.
